For Children, Youth and Families
At St Simon’s, we are convinced that the news about Jesus is the best news for all ages, even the youngest of children. We run a variety of groups for young people and their families that are fun, safe and provide space for children to think about who Jesus is and how they can live for him.
Our groups are run by a team of dedicated volunteers who are all DBS checked and join with us in our vision of seeing young people living for Jesus.
Below you will find details of all our youth and children’s groups at St Simons. For more information about our provision for children and young people, please contact
Daniel Armond, our Children’s, Youth and Families Worker.

Sundays, During our 11am Service
Children remain in the main service for the first 15 minutes before heading out to their groups. We have a variety of groups that run for different age groups, from a creche for 0-3s to a youth group for 11-16s. Each group includes a mixture of age-appropriate games, crafts, and Bible teaching. We want our Bible teaching in these groups to not just be about learning Bible stories but seeing how the Bible speaks into our lives.
Once a half term, we pause our usual children’s groups for an all-age service. We believe that the church is one big family of young and old. Our all age services reflect this, giving us an opportunity to learn together as one big family. These services are slightly shorter and more interactive in order to engage children.

Mondays, 10am – 11:30am (Term Time Only)
For the babies and children, we have banana snacks, juice and water, ride-ons, a kitchen, puzzles and books followed by singing and a Bible story time. For their grown ups, there's free tea and coffee and time to chat. We aim to be a group where real friendships are formed. The group is free, but you are welcome to make a donation of £1 per family when you have spare cash.

Crossroads Kids
Mondays, 6pm - 7:30pm (Term Time Only)
For Primary School Aged Children
At Crossroad Kids, there’s always a fun activity on offer like games, craft and baking. Plus, time to sing and look at the Bible in a fun and creative way. There’s also a free parents café. It’s a great opportunity to get to know other parents/guardians and hear what the children are learning about.
Crossroads Youth
Mondays, 6:30pm - 8:30pm (Term Time Only)
For Secondary School Aged Children
Each week there’s a talk from the Bible, fun and games and time to chat in small groups. We long for these young people to see that Jesus is good news for them in an often confusing world.
