TODAY  at St Simon’s.

The Bishop and the Vocation  Team will be sharing an afternoon of workshops and worship with any who feels God is calling them to service in Clergy. The afternoon culminates in an Evening Worship Service  at 6.30pm  to which all are invited.

 

St Simon & St Jude Gift Day 2008

The total of giving for this year’s Gift Day is £5,273.74.

The giving will be used towards maintaining the provision of a Support Worker here at St Simon’s.

 

FUTURE EVENTS  at St Simon’s

29th Nov   Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, Barn Dance 7pm  

Here at St Simon’s. A fun evening, Barn Dance style evening includes, sales of Christmas cards, quiz and dancing and  jacket potato supper. (Bring own drinks)

Cost £6, tickets available from Alison Chester, hurry, they are going fast.

 

December 2nd   Girls & Boys Brigades Family Evening

6.30pm start approx end at 8pm. Quiz & Hotpot Supper

Also Bring and Buy table, (donations of saleable items, good as new/new appreciated) All proceeds raised going to develop the outdoor recreational area at the rear of church. Ladies Evening Christmas Meal Update…..

If you are joining us for this event, your choice of meal and final balance of £12 is required by 23rd November. A menu is on the notice board at the back of church, please speak to Clare Singleton  or Ann Jardine

 

Postage Stamps…watch out for them on your Christmas mail.

BDS School are still collecting used stamps in aid of the Blind Association. Please give stamps to Jean Abram or leave in church office.

 

Hungry & Homeless Soup Kitchen.  Christmas gifts

As we approach the festive season, your continued support would be much appreciated. Gifts of tinned, dried, preserved products, seasonal foods i.e. Christmas pudding, tinned fruit, etc. must be placed in the box at the back of church prior to Sunday 7th December. Please speak to Robert and Linda Stephenson.
